Developed and lead the implementation of a new corporate business unit for Kinko’s, Inc. – U.S. and international site distribution growth of 78% in first year. Kinko’s hired Sampl to expand its retail reach into Hotels, Airports and Convention Centers. Sampl approached the project by targeting the business traveler with the strategy of providing more convenient access to this prominent business services company. He built and directed the plan for taking Kinko’s core competencies into targeted markets where it continues to operate business centers in these types of facilities. The portfolio includes sites at The Waldorf » Astoria, Orange County Convention Center (Orlando), Anaheim Marriott and the Tokyo Hilton among others. This Business Unit generated $13MM in incremental revenue and produced a 19% operating profit margin (higher than the company average) in its third year. Forecasted corporate profits at the end of year three would generate an incremental $6.4MM in corporate profits.

Identified, negotiated and managed new brand partnerships, which initially generated $11MM in incremental revenue for Holiday Inn (HQ) - global focus. Prior to hiring Sampl, Holiday Inn only had a relationship with Northwest Airlines. Against standard airline business practices Sampl developed co-branded relationships with American, Delta and United Airlines. The company now continues its relationships with these airlines as strategic business partners.

Represented company interests during Delta Air Lines' initial and subsequent negotiations when they became The Official Airline of The Walt Disney Company. Resulted in $40MM in annual revenue for the company.

Built and implemented a successful approach targeting a new customer group that generated a 200% increase in realized sales production.

Negotiated nationwide master agreements with Marriott International and Hilton Hotel Corporation.

Secured 320 new contracts for the company with American Airlines.

Directed Product Development for Delta Air Lines’ Vacations program including research, design, development, vendor negotiations, pricing, inventory, advertising, sales training and collateral design.
